Man charged with trying to murder two state troopers

A southern Kentucky man is in jail accused of trying to kill two state troopers.

Kentucky State Police say they were investigating a complaint of an outdoor marijuana grow operation off Howard Blevins Road in Bell County when a vehicle drive by James Blevins approached them.

The troopers say Blevins tried to run them over and flee the scene, but his vehicle got stuck.

The troopers were able to run out of the vehicle's path.

One trooper suffered a minor injury and went to the hospital.

Blevins was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder of a police officer.
