An accident involving a tractor trailer, tanker, SUV and a car closed part of I-75 in Lexington early Friday morning.
Police say the initial accident involved the semi and car and the other two vehicles became involved trying to avoid that acccident.
It happened in the southbound lanes just prior to the 116 milemarker, which is near Newtown Pike.
Police believe heavy rain, which was moving through the area at the time, likely caused the crash.
Two people went to the hospital with minor injuries.
That stretch of interstate is back open.
