A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is out for for much of northern and eastern Kentucky until 9 p.m. This is just east of the Lexington metro.
Some remains found earlier this year in southern Kentucky have now been identified as those of a girl, who had been missing for more than a decade.
The McCreary County Sheriff says the remains, found back in April in the Peel Dogwood community, belong to Crystal Marler.
She was 15-years-old when she went missing in 1998.
Officials say DNA testing from a half brother helped identify Marler.
A murder investigation has now been launched. Officials say Marler died of a gunshot wound and blunt force trauma.
Marler's family says they have found some closure, but still want to see justice served.
