Vehicle Hits Pedestrian In Richmond

Video will be available shortly

Police reconstructed a serious accident Tuesday morning on the Eastern Bypass in Richmond for around three hours.

They say a vehicle hit a pedestrian, 21-year-old Joshua Ingram of Richmond, shortly before 6 a.m. at the intersection of the Eastern Bypass and Porter Drive. Ingram is in serious, but stable condition after being air lifted to UK Hospital.

The driver of the car was 41-year-old Angela Sharp, also of Richmond. Police say early indciations are that Sharp did not see Ingram until she hit him. They go on to say that lighting conditions on that area of the bypass are "extremely bad." Sharp is said to be cooperating with investigators and no charges are pending at this time.

Richmond Police say the Eastern Bypass is now clear and back open.
