Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows tonight. Many areas may wake up to thermometer readings below zero.
The northbound lanes of I-75 had to be shut down at mile marker 99, just north of the Clays Ferry Bridge, just before 7:00 Tuesday evening.
Police say a pickup truck mistakenly took the off ramp instead of the on ramp from Old Richmond Rd. onto I-75.
Police say the driver then made a u-turn trying to correct his mistake, but unknowingly got in the path of a semi. The two crashed, but police say the semi-truck driver did attempt to avoid hitting the pickup before falling to its side.
The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were taken to UK Hospital. The driver of the semi was treated on scene.
Lanes opened around 11:30 Tuesday night.
