Police make an arrest just hours after a convenience store is robbed at gunpoint.

Nicholasville Police arrested Eric Lee Westerman Wednesday afternoon. Police say he held up the Circle K on Edgewood Drive around 1 Wednesday morning.

Investigators say they are looking to see if there is a link with other robberies in the area.

Police say Westerman was AWOL from the U.S. Marines.

He's now charged with first degree robbery.

Police say Westerman walked into the Circle K, then pulled a gun on the clerk, before getting away with some money and cigarettes.

No one was hurt. The robbery was caught on surveillance pictures.
