MASON, Ohio (AP) - A report says a roller coaster at the Kings
Island amusement park has reopened a day after the death of a man
who had been riding it.
The Cincinnati Enquirer says state inspectors found the Firehawk
was operating properly Sunday. A man who was having trouble
breathing after riding the roller coaster died Saturday.
Park spokesman Don Helbig said ride operators noticed the man
was having trouble breathing. Emergency personnel took the man to a
hospital, where he later died.
Helbig said Kings Island had voluntarily closed the ride.
The park's Web site says the Firehawk travels at 51 mph along
3,340 feet of track and has five inversions.
