Monday night, a special meeting gave folks in Danville the chance to hear results of studies on air quality, from before and after a smoking ban.
The indoor ban went into effect one year ago. Trained researchers from the community used a specially, designed machine to take air quality readings in 13 Danville businesses before and after the ban.
The readings were then analyzed and compared to similar studies in smoke-free cities in Kentucky.
They say the ban dramatically improved the air quality in the businesses in all the cities.
