Winchester Police Say A Child Predator Could Be On The Loose
Winchester police say there’s a chance there’s a child predator on the loose.
There have been three reports from four girls all in the matter of five days.
City police beefed up patrols in the College Park area Monday night. This comes after an eleven year old girl says a man pulled up and exposed himself while she walked her dog near her house last Wednesday on Burns Avenue.
Blocks away the next day, two girls walking to school say a man, fitting the same description, pulled up to them in a similar S-U-V while they were at a bus stop at Poplar and Estes. He exposed himself to them as well. Then, a third incident Monday morning, when another girl waiting at a bus stop at Linden Avenue ran away after a man pulled up and did the exact same thing.
“There’s a good chance we have a predator running loose”, says police officer Dennis Briscoe.
Police say the suspect is described as a white man in his 30s or 40s. He has dark, medium length hair. Police say he may have facial hair. The man is believed to be driving a dark colored SUV, possibly a Ford explorer or Jeep.
