Flooding plagues Eastern Kentucky

Flooding created numerous problems early Wednesday in eastern Kentucky.

In Leslie County, officials called off school for the day.

Part of Highway 421 even washed away.

Around 2 a.m., 911 received a call after two men climbed into a tree to see safety after their cars were washed into a creek.

Rescuers were able to reach them shortly after 6:30 a.m.

A large part of Highway 421 is impassable because of flood damage.
