Back to school students goes off without problems

School is back in session for kids in Fayette County. Wednesday, August 12 is the fist day ofschool.

Five schools district wide have construction projects going on while kids come back to school. Among those are Russell Cave Elementary, where crews are still trying to finish the library.

Fourth and Fifth grade students there are in portable classrooms for the most part.

"We've spent the last two days talking about procedures and how teachers are going to practice with students to keep them safe," explained Betsey Rutherford, Principal at Russell Cave.

She says the portables are a great environment and are spacious. "We're focused on teching at high levels."
