As UK students begin returning to campus, police want to make sure they stay safe.
Starting Tuesday, the Lexington and UK Police Departments, along with the Sheriff's Office, and the Division of Code Enforcement, will begin a campaign focusing on safety and crime prevention.
They are handing out fliers and talking to students who live near campus to get the word out.
They hope this will cut down on thefts, underage drinking, and other issues.
This comes on the heels of a crime bulletin UK Police issued on Thursday, after someone tried to rob a medical center employee on Huguelet Drive.
