One person is dead and another hospitalized after an accident in Powell County this morning.

The Powell County Sheriff's Department says they responded to to a moped versus truck and trailer
accident on 9th and 11th Street's in Clay City this morning shortly before noon.

The driver was killed and 12 year old passenger injured.

The victim's name isn't being released at this time.

The juvenile is at U. K. Hospital and is stable according to the
Sheriff's Department.

Deputies say a witness told him that the moped ran a stop sign and collided with the side of the trailer portion of the rig.

the 12 year old is my nepew and the victom was my sister boyfriend he was a realy nice guy fun to be around he will be missed ,the 12 year old is doing pretty good he has broken bones, cuts, just pray for both family they really need prayer
