Stolen Credit Information Used By Hackers

Computer hackers that gained customer information from TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores are now making fraudulent charges.

Reports are flooding into credit card companies about these charges.

Customer data stolen from the owner of TJ Maxx and Marshalls departments stores has been used to make purchases as far away as Hong Kong, according to the Massachusetts Bankers Association.

The group says nearly 60 banks have been contacted by credit card companies about compromised cards.

That number is expected to grow. Some 40 million customers could potentially be affected, including people here in the bluegrass state.

Banks are notifying customers and re-issuing cards in some cases.

This affects anyone who had an account with any TJ Maxx or Marshalls store in the country.
