Fake utility workers spotted

Police in central Kentucky are on the lookout for suspects who may be posing as utility workers.

Scott County Sheriff's deputies were patrolling Sadieville overnight.

On Wednesday, someone living on Burgess Smith Road called police saying somone in a blue van came to his door and claimed to be a meter reader with Blue Grass Energy.

The homeowner called Blue Grass Energy and workers said they had no such meter reader.

This incident happened as Lexington Police continue searching for the men who posed as cable company workers to rob retired Lexington Firefighter David Norris.

A bulllet grazed his head during the incident on Ridgepoint Run Road.

Police and utility companies tell 27 NEWSFIRST if you have any suspicions about a utility worker, to call the company immediately before coming in contact with the workers.
