The field of candidates for governor seems to grow by the day, especially on the democratic side.
27 NEWSFIRST has confirmed from several sources that Louisville businessman Bruce Lunsford will run for governor. His running mate will be Greg Stumbo, the state attorney general.
According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, the pair will make their announcement Monday.
Lunsford ran for governor in 2003, and spent millions. He dropped out just days before the primary. Stumbo has led the investigation into Governor Fletcher’s administration hiring practices.
So far, half a dozen democratic candidates are in the race for governor.
