A Flood Watch and a Winter Storm Watch are out for the entire region late Tuesday through early Thursday. Heavy rain develops Tuesday night into Wednesday morning and may put down 1”-3” in some areas. Arctic air pushes in from west to east on Wednesday with heavy sleet and snow taking over. That setup could produce several inches of accumulation. Snow will slowly end from west to east Thursday as bitterly cold air continues to push in.
The field of candidates for governor seems to grow by the day, especially on the democratic side.
27 NEWSFIRST has confirmed from several sources that Louisville businessman Bruce Lunsford will run for governor. His running mate will be Greg Stumbo, the state attorney general.
According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, the pair will make their announcement Monday.
Lunsford ran for governor in 2003, and spent millions. He dropped out just days before the primary. Stumbo has led the investigation into Governor Fletcher’s administration hiring practices.
So far, half a dozen democratic candidates are in the race for governor.
