Kentucky's Attorney General announces plans to create a drug task forces targeting the second leading cause of accidental death in the Commonwealth, only car accidents kill more than pill overdoses.
The trend is disturbing to A.G. Jack Conway who on Thursday announced a federal grant of $50,000 to help kick start the task force.
"50,000 dollars will be used for equipment and training for the task force," Conway says.
The idea is to give law enforcement officials the upper hand and education when it comes to prescription pills and put an end to Doctors acting as drug dealers.
Conway says this fall he plans to announce the structure of the task force and how it will operate in Kentucky.
