Man robbed, assaulted while waiting for ambulance

A man who called an ambulance for an injured friend became the victim of a late-night robbery.

Lexington Police say the man was waiting in a parking lot on Hollow Creek Road, off Russell Cave Road, when three teenagers approached him Thursday night.

Two of them had guns and stole his cell phone.

They then hit him in the head with a gun.

The victim suffered minor injuries and went to the hospital. His friend had fallen earlier and needed an ambulance, police say.

Police say he told them the suspects were around 15 years old.

No arrests have been made.
