Police Standoff Comes To Peaceful End In Lexington

A two hour police standoff ended peacefully Monday night in Lexington. Lexington SWAT team was called out to a home at 1016 Vero Court. Police say 36 year old Terry Victor came to his mothers house. Police say his mother has an EPO out against him. Victor threatened to kill himself and his mother. Somehow, his mother escaped and called police. By the time police arrived, Victor had barricaded himself in the house and refused to come out. Police say Victor was armed with a knife and had access to guns in the home. Police had neighbors evacuate their homes and made others take shelter and hide.
Victor is charged with violating a protection order. He's in the Fayette County jail. Police say Victor was intoxicated.
