Police Chief Injured In Crash Doing Better

A Kentucky police chief seriously injured in a car crash is now out of critical condition.

Eubank Police Chief Rodney Sneed is recovering from surgery at the University of Kentucky Hospital.
We’re told he is now off a ventilator and breathing on his own.

Sneed was air lifted to the hospital after his Cruiser was hit by a van at the intersection of Highway 70 and Kentucky 1274. Witnesses say the van ran a stop sign. Sneed’s cruiser flipped, he was trapped inside.

His family has been at this bedside all day at the hospital His wife told us the chief wrote he loved her on her hand when she first saw him.

She says she is thankful for all of the support the family has received in the past day.

Chief Sneed is now listed in serious condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
