Witnesses say two children, a 2-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy, were found wandering along Helena Road in Flemingsburg, with no adult supervision.
"I waited for a minute for an adult to come out, and I didn't see them and I put them out of the street and put them in their yard," says Danny Boswell.
Boswell says it was another driver who also passed the children who then called police.
Flemingsburg Police say when they got inside, a 7-month-old baby was found inside crying, with the parents passed out.
"The 7-month old boy crying in his car seat and his diaper was saturated," says Flemingsburg Police Chief Randy Sergent. "The baby was crying, and they still weren't responding to the baby."
Police say it didn't end there. They say the house was in poor condition, with human and animal feces found on the floor, several bottles of expensive alcohol but very little food, just some cookies and a can of baked beans.
The parents of the children are now behind bars, brothers Timothy and Tyler Benton, and their wives Shayla and Amber, all for first degree wanton endangerment.
Timothy and Shayla Benton's 2-year old daughter are at their maternal grandmother's house. Tyler and Amber Benton's two sons, the 7-month-old and 3-year-old boys are in foster care.
