BOSTON (AP) - Officials have closed the viewing for Sen. Edward
Kennedy after he lay in repose for two days.
Leaders of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum
closed the viewing shortly before 3 p.m. That's about an hour and a
half after they cut the line off.
The viewing covered several hours over two days, and thousands
of people have filed by the flag-draped casket. A private memorial
service is scheduled at the library for Friday night.
Kennedy died of a brain tumor this week at the family compound
in Hyannis Port at age 77.
A funeral Mass will be held in Boston on Saturday. Burial is set
for later Saturday at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
