A major winter storm is on the way to the bluegrass state. Local high water issues are possible early Wednesday and that will be followed up by heavy snow and sleet. Significant accumulations are likely Wednesday night and Thursday.
City leaders want Lexington residents to get outside and get active. So, they've scheduled a special day to help you do just that. The second annual "Second Sunday" event will be held October 11 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The city will close a mile long loop of downtown from Main St. To Mill St, Short St. and Deweese St. People will be allowed to bike, walk, run and skate in the closed streets. Fitness classes and health screenings will also be part of the event. If your organization would like to sponsor a "Second Sunday" activity, call (859) 257-5582.
