Three men are behind bars after shots were fired in a Lexington neighborhood.
Several people called authorities around 4 p.m. Sunday after spotting men in a Voltswagon Jetta shooting out the car window on Winburn Drive.
Lexington police say four people were outside Salem Village Apartments when the shooting took place, but no one was injured.
It didn't take long for police to catch up to the car, thanks to a witness that trailed the car to New Circle and Boardwalk, and gave police a good description.
Police arrested Joel Alverez, Gocobo Lopez, and Alexis Pena-Contrenas and charged them each with 4 counts of Wanton Endangerment. They are being held at the Fayette County Jail.
Police are looking into the possibility that the shooting could be gang-related.
