One person is dead after a morning rush-hour crash in Lexington.
Police say a semi and a passenger car were stopped at a traffic light on Newtown Pike at Sugar Maple when a white box truck rear-ended the car.
The car then got pinned under the semi, killing the driver.
The driver was the only person in the car. The box truck's driver was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
Police closed the section of roadway, which created a traffic backup on I-75 as well as Newtown Pike through morning rush hour.
