Dozens of marijuana plants worth an estimated $80,000 were seized from several places in Woodford County Monday. The plants were several feet long and only a few weeks from being harvested. Officers destroyed them in a large bonfire Monday night.
Versailles police spokesman Pat Melton told NEWSFIRST law enforcement officials have some suspects and charges are pending.
The Woodford County Sheriff, Versailles Police Department and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife worked together on the investigation.
