A report is out from a state fire marshal investigator on the devastation at the Northpoint Training Center in Boyle County. The facility had several buildings destroyed during a riot on August 21st.
Deputy Fire Marshal Mike Burke says inmates will be able to live in the prison's six dorms again. But, first, fire alarms must be working and structural engineers need to finish their inspections.
The Lexington Herald Leader reports the State Fire Marshal's office found broken doors, leaning walls, demolished exit signs, as well as plumbing fixtures ripped from the walls of dorms.
