The Fayette County Health Department will begin offering flu shots by appointment only until September 21. Then it will take walk-in patients.
Other pharmacies like RiteAid, Walgreens, and Kroger are also offering the seasonal flu shots.
The shots don't offer any protection from the H1N1 virus.
That vaccine is expected out sometime in October.
A number of schools have already reported a high number of illnesses going around.
