Plea deal in Lexington double killing?

A plea deal could be at hand in a high profile Lexington double killing.

The Herald Leader reports that prosecutor Ray Larson's office is offering 50 year old Patrick Hutchinson a sentence of 25 years in prison for a guilty plea.

Hutchinson is accused of killing Lexington firefighter Brenda Cowan and Hutchinson's wife, Fontaine in a 2004 shooting spree that also injured others.

Larson wouldn't comment on the proposal, but Cowan's family is calling the punishment too light.
