A former UK basketball star, accused of stealing from fans, makes his first court appearance.

Lexington police say Ed Davender scammed fans out of thousands of dollars by selling them season tickets he didn't have.

Davender pleaded not guilty today in court.

His bond was reduced to $1,500.

Davender was a major force with the wildcats in the 1980's.

Davender was arrested in December of 2008 for the exact same thing.

A complaint states he tried to sell more than two-thousand dollars worth of UK football season tickets. After the customer paid and did not recieve there tickets, they went to police. Davender was arrested, but the charges were later dropped after the money was paid back.

Davender played for UK from 1984 through 1988.
