Tear gas grenade found in neighborhood

Things are back to normal in Richmond after a tear gas grenade caused quite a stir. An excavation crew found the grenade in a vacant lot on Douglas Court.

The Kentucky State Police bomb squad put the grenade in a teflon container and took it to the Richmond city landfill to blow it up.

Officials say it did have a fuse and easily could have injured someone. An investigation is underway into how the tear gas grenade ended up in a neighborhood.
