Two hospitalized following wrong-way crash

Two people are in the hospital after police say a driver went the wrong way on a Pulaski County road.

Emergency crews were called to Highway 90 in Burnside around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Police say Andrew Turpin, 87, turned left from Highway 27 onto Highway 90 and drove west in the eastbound lanes.

He hit a car driven by Crystal Bailey, 26, of Lexington head-on.

Bailey was airlifted to U.K. Hospital in Lexington. Her passenger, James Marine, 55, of Lexington went to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

Police say Turpin wasn't transported.
