The cold front is now working into eastern Kentucky with winds gusting to near 40mph at times. Temps have dropped into the 30s behind the front and we've had reports of sleet and snow mixing with the rain in Lexington.
UPTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky State Police say a woman struck by a
train in Hardin County has died.
The News-Enterprise in Elizabethtown reports that 61-year-old
Wanda Murray was pronounced dead by the Hardin County Coroner's
office after stepping into the path of an oncoming train.
Murray was struck near her home on Quarry Road.
Police say the train's engineer saw Murray and attempted to
stop, but it continued moving even after deploying emergency stop
