Visit to drive-thru ends with man rushed to hospital

A visit to the drive-thru ends with a man being rushed to the hospital.

It happened just before four Wednesday afternoon, at the Long John Silver's at Tates Creek Centre in Lexington.

Emergency crews say the man's foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal, while he was at the drive-thru.

The car ended up going over a curb, crashing into a fence and some trees, before flipping over down an embankment.

The victim had to be cut out of the car.

He was taken to the hospital, but police say he only had minor injuries.
