Man Robbed Inside Lexington Town Home

A crime alert in Lexington after a man is robbed inside his own home.
A man says he was just trying to help a stranger when he became a victim.
It happened Thursday evening just before eight at a town home on Fontaine Drive near Richmond Road.
Police say the victim told them he was on the phone when he heard a knock at the door. A man said he was having car trouble and asked to use the phone. When the victim let the man inside he told police the stranger pulled a gun and demanded money. Police say the robber got away with more than $500. Police say the suspect is a white man around 6’2”, 230 pounds. He had short dark hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a brown leather jacket and green army pants. Police say they are still talking with the victim to determine exactly what happened. If you have information you are asked to contact Lexington Police at 258-3600
