He suffered severe burns, while trying to put out a fire.

Now, weeks later, a six-year-old Winchester boy is out of the hospital, but he still has a long road to recovery ahead.

Riley Hatton's mother says he suffered third degree burns to his legs and face last month. He was trying to put out a fire at an abandoned house next door to his home, on Phillips Court in Winchester.

He's since been treated a three different hospitals, including the Shriner's Burn Center in Cincinnati.

Riley's mother says the boy is now back at school, but she's not sure when he'll be entirely healed.

The Winchester Fire Department is still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
