Somerset residents honor 9/11 victims

By  |

Dozens of residents from the Somerset area turned out at The Center for Rural Development Friday night for a tribute to those who perished in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Members of Post 38 of the American Legion participated in the event. A depiction of a 21 gun salute and the playing of "Taps" also took place.

A concert featuring 1960s R&B music followed the tribute and was broadcast live to some of the American troops serving in Afghanistan.
