Funeral arrangements have been made for Amanda Ross. Police found Ross, 29, with a gunshot wound outside her townhouse on West Short Street in Lexington Friday morning. She was taken to UK hospital where she later died. Visitation for Amanda Ross will be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. To 8 p.m at the Carrick House in Lexington. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. It will also be at the Carrick house. In lieu of flowers, her family is asking for donations to the Bluegrass Domestic Violence program. No charges have been filed in her murder.
Her former fiancee, Steve Nunn, remained in a Bowling Green hospital Sunday night. He was found hours after her murder at a cemetery near the Hart-Barren county line. He had slit his own wrists. Nunn is a former state lawmaker and son of the late governor, Louie Nunn. Steve Nunn faces six counts of wanton endangerment in Hart county for firing a gun when officers arrived. He will be taken to the Hart county jail when he is released from the hospital. State police say that could happen Monday. Lexington police are investigating whether Nunn is connected to Ross' murder. Ballistics tests of the bullets from the gun fired at the cemetery and from the gun used to shoot Ross are expected back this week.
