Two Danville Police officers who ran into a burning building to save a hearing impaired man are being called "lifesavers".
Sergeant J.C. Courtwright and Officer David Parson were given commendations by both the city of Danville and the Kentucky Fire Marshall's Office for the bravery.
The two man arrived at the Danville home on September 2nd shortly before the fire department. The officers made the decision to go inside when they realized people were inside.
They found Frank Nunn asleep in his bed. He had no idea his home was on fire. Because of the officers quick thinking Nunn and his neighbors in the duplex were able to escape the flames.
