A visitation was held Tuesday for 29-year-old Amanda Ross, who police say was shot and killed by her ex, former Kentucky lawmaker Steve Nunn.
Family and friends of 29-year-old Amanda Ross filed into the Carrick House in Lexington on Tuesday evening to say their goodbyes to the young woman who was shot and killed in front of her Lexington townhome on Friday morning.
Lexington police found Amanda Ross in the parking lot of the Opera House Square townhomes around 6:30 Friday morning after reports of shots in the area.
On Monday they charged her ex, former Kentucky lawmaker Steve Nunn, with the crime.
Today visitation was held for Amanda Ross, where friends of the family said they didn't wish to comment on Nunn. They say they only want to focus on Ross and helping improve Kentucky's domestic violence laws at this time.
The funeral for Amanda Ross will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Carrick House in Lexington, with a private burial to follow for her family.
