Three Fire Departments Respond to House Fire

Fire breaks out at a home in Jessamine County, forcing firefighters from three different departments to respond.

It happened around seven Monday evening, along Avenue of Champions in Jessamine County.

The fire started in the garage of the home. Firefighters say the fire spread quickly throughout the home. Two rooms in the home were destroyed.

Nicholasville, Wilmore, and Lexington firefighters helped put out the fire.
The Nicholasville Fire Chief says a smoke detector in the garage likely saved the home owner's life.
