A rape suspect was captured in Lexington Tuesday morning, but not after leading police on a chase.

Mark Davis was wanted by Kentucky State Police on a third degree rape charge.

The chase started after Lexington Police tried to execute a warrant at a home on Lakeview Drive, where they thought Davis was. When they arrived, police say Davis jumped out a window, and into a car with a 16 year old girl.

Officers chased Davis to Holiday Drive, where he crashed into a parked car.Davis tried to get away on foot, but officers tackled him and took him into custody.

Police say the 16 year old girl with Davis was once his foster child.
She was later taken out of his care, but police say she left her home in Louisville two weeks ago to be with him. Davis is now facing several charges.
