Residents say they're dealing with bed bug infestation

Scott county residents living in townhomes operated by the housing authority say they're dealing with an infestation of bed bugs. Residents say they've pleaded with officials to take care of the problem and that people have been sent to spray, but the infestation keeps getting worse. We are told the housing authority is taking care of the problem but they would not return our phone calls to elaborate what they are doing. The health department says exterminators will visit the townhomes Thursday and will continue to treat the problem. We're told the housing authority also plans to hold a regularly scheduled meeting Thursday night at 5:30 in Scott county, where this issue is expected to be discussed.
