Snow line is beginning to crash into parts of central Kentucky. The rate of snow will pick-up this evening and into the overnight. Some of these snow bands could produce 1"-2" per hour at times.
A dangerous Wednesday morning for drivers in central and northern Kentucky as a thick blanket of fog settled in.
Driving was even more treacherous in northern parts of the state as drivers dealt with freezing fog. The fog freezes on contact with the road and other surfaces, which makes roads very slick.
There was a dense fog advisory issued for the area and visibility was near zero for a while. The advisory was lifted later in the morning.
The fog is expected to burn off completely Wednesday afternoon and we may even see some sunshine before the day is over.
