Kentucky Forest Needs Your Help

The Kentucky State Preserves Commission is asking for your help.

The commission is asking for volunteers to help hunt down the destructive hemlock woolly adelgi.

The invasive insect has been devastating hemlock forests in the east and was recently found in Kentucky.

The commission needs volunteers to survey Blanton Forest Saturday morning for the insect.

If you'd like to help you can call the commission at 502-573-2886 to volunteer.
