Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a mobile home fire.

The home on Burton Pike, off U.S. 25, north of Georgetown caught fire just before 4 a.m. Tuesday. Two men, passing by on their way to work saw the flames and called 9-1-1.

At this point, firefighters are calling the fire suspicious.

Firefighters say the back door of the home was open when they arrived and appeared to have been kicked-in.

The man who rented the home, Mark Morris, says some of his belongings, including a big-screen TV, are missing. Fire investigators say the TV was not in the home when it caught fire. Morris was working at nearby IEG Forge when the fire started.

Firefighters consider the home a total loss; they say most of Morris' things can't be saved. While Morris tries to find a new place to live, he says he'll stay up the street with family members.

Arson investigators plan to look at the home sometime Tuesday afternoon.
