The Scott County Sheriff's Department has arrested four people in connection with numerous burglaries in Georgetown and Sadiesville. One of the suspects spoke with 27 NEWSFIRST.

Sheriff Bobby Hammons says the crimes happened of the Spring and Summer.

He says Richard Jones, Jason Coomer, Russell Adkins, and William McKee would steal guns, TVs and jewelry from homes during the day and would steal from cars at night.

The sheriff also says McKee once posed as a Bluegrass Energy Employee once confronted by a home owner.

We spoke with 27 year old William McKee from the Scott County jail, he says he's innocent.

He says in August he was stopped by police on drug charges and just recently he's been charged with 6 counts of burglary. Charges he claims are bogus.

The sheriff says McKee and the others confessed to the crimes but McKee says he was set up by the other three suspects because he has a history of committing similar crimes.
