Lexington Police are investigating an incident involving students on a Fayette County school bus.
School officials say about 12 to 15 kids on the bus were verbally arguing when the bus stopped at East 7th street and Royal.
The bus driver pulled over to separate the kids, when the argument got bigger.
Some kids became physical with another and the monitor stood up to break it up.
The door came open and everyone tumbled outside.
A few of the kids continued scuffling outside.
The bus driver then made a call for help.
The monitor was transported to the hospital, but has since been treated and released.
The monitor has been with the school system since 2007.
