Thursday, Kentucky House speaker Greg Stumbo presented the Amanda Ross Domestic Violence Prevention Act in Frankfort, in honor of recent murder victim, Amanda Ross, who was killed earlier this month.
It would require those under a domestic violence or emergency protective order to wear an electronic tracking device.
Police have charged Ross' ex-fiance, former state lawmaker Steve Nunn, with the murder.
Ross had a court protective order out against him.
Stumbo says he hopes to put the bill in effect before the beginning of next year.
