Some storms are possible during the morning and afternoon on Tuesday. Damaging winds and flooding will be the main threats. With an already soaked ground, expect strong winds to easily bring down some trees.
Wet roads are to blame for two chain reaction crashes in Lexington Thursday night. Six vehicles were involved in a crash on the inner ramp of New Circle to Richmond Road. One car ended up off the roadway. There were no injuries.
Weather is also to blame for a crash on Winchester Road. Police believe the driver of an SUV lost control on the wet road near Man O' War Boulevard and crashed into two other cars. Two people were taken to St. Joseph East with minor injuries. Witnesses say, after the crash, the driver of the SUV ran into a field next to the road and disappeared for a period of time. He later returned to the scene. No charges were filed in the crash.
